I will also add I am empathetic to a lot. I don't go out of my way to trigger her or be hateful. I use logic and stand on truth. I grow weary of what landmine I will step on tomorrow.

I have a friend who is a self professed liberal. We have differeing views on many things but similiar views on a few things. She was raised in a fundamentalist baptist home and obviously due to trauma and abuse, has swung very hard the other way. Today I 'triggered' her. Lately, apparently I have been doing that by sharing my more conservative opinion. The left cries about wanting to have civil conversation. This is why many can't. They are constantly triggered.

Well, the piece I finished will have to go somewhere else because I went to the website to check on submission instructions. This is a juried show, so that means the committee reserves the right to refuse entry. But in order to even register or send an email with your submission, you have to pay $25.00. I am finding in the art world that this is EXTREMELY common to charge artists to even enter and I am already very against it. Thise fees add up and to not even be guaranteed showing? Nah.

From the garden tonight and art progress. I had another idea based off this art piece and now I want to abandon this and go make the other one....but I promised myself I wouldnt start any new projects because I WILL hyperfixate on it an not do anything else. 🤪🤪

@PeaceandProsperity@na.social There are calls for artists out around the area. I saw the one for this show and had a piece that fit the theme. You submit and register (I think it was $15?) And to my knowledge, no one is refused but I could be wrong. This is my first time doing anything in this world but so far its been fun.

First kinusaiga piece is live at a local art exhibit. 😍😍 The intake women were so sweet and asked all kinds of questions. By the time it was done, I learned how to effectively give a condensed summary of what kinusaiga is and how its made lol.

If you're local to Denver, NC, on May 31st I am hosting a kinusaiga craft class at a local bookstore and would love to hear someone say 'In the morning!' In person and make some art with me! I will share the link as soon as I have it tomorrow, but It's going to be fun! This is a great, no-sew class that is a mox between putting together puzzles and painting with fabric. The event is ticketed but covers all of your materials and you'll leave with a great fabric art piece of your own.
