@xoagray anytime you have a community that’s open sexually it’s going to attract people who view that as a hunting ground to take advantage of.
I don’t think it’s possible to totally eliminate that but yeah it does need to be more of a priority
It’s not something I really talk about but as someone who A) was roofied at MFF years ago and B) has been sexually assaulted and raped in this fandom
Not everyone in this fandom is a big happy family and we can’t ignore that and have to confront that reality. This isn’t something to be ignored
It’s really hard to speak up about this if it happens to you, trust me I know and I didn’t when I should have either.
But this community IS mostly good and we’ll support you if you’ve been a victim.
If you’re victim blaming or a predator yourself get the fuck out of my fandom.
