I'd do a road trip with the dog after that, but it is going to be hot today.

Sometimes I resent having taken on care of a creature that can't travel for a good chunk of the year.

Three good-sized, lanky coyotes, crossing the road from one office park to another as Daphne barked lustily at them.

The last in line stopped to look at us. Curiosity? Defiance? It didn't move on until a landscaping truck approached it.

They might end up as rags, or insulation, or shipped to Africa in huge bales, were industrious people repair and modify them for reuse.

He designed the SECOND grown-up game I ever purchased, "Alien Space." I still have my copy from 1974, and a later edition.

A friend was commissioned to build a large model rocket for a very special mission. Commemorative in nature, shall we say.

I am pretty good at doing finishes, so I spent the afternoon streamlining the fins and preparing to fill in the wood grain.

I don't remember, from Apollo days, long-distance shots of the capsules free falling. Sighting of parachutes was the first sign all was good.

So, extended sight of Integrity just falling, waiting for parachutes, was kind of nerve wracking.
