70-80% of what he said were things we already knew about, tried to fix, and got blocked by republican stone walling in previous administrations. None of what was true dealt with actual vote tampering but interfering with people’s opinions and who they voted for. If he really declassified serious documents, then he knows that. Especially because independent studies from peer-reviewed third parties dropped those reports pretty consistently. It’s just been a decade of non-stop bullshit so it’s hard to remember, but he didn’t want anything we didn’t already know, and actual voting was never the problem.

Here’s the thing, He didn’t say anything that we didn’t already KNOW. He stepped out there and used the big fancy word ‘declassified’, but EVERYTHING, he said that was even half true we knew about. And half of that stuff that he’s trying to scream about the democrats tried to fix with election protections during Biden’s run and before. The Republicans blocked the bill (of course). He conflated multiple issues that we have been discussing around elections for decades, but none of the actual votes were the issue. The China hack? It happened. It was demographic data. We knew that. Are our voting machines easy to manipulate? We knew that, but not via wifi hacking typically and not at the national scale. The risk was firmware iirc not remote hacks. Then, he mentions foreign elections, which had nothing to do with us. The time it takes to count all votes? We knew that. Mail in ballots take time to count, and elections are usually called well before final counts. I noticed Russia was constantly absent from his list of meddlers. But bots were rampant during elections, especially about Biden and Hillary. He basically took everything that independent studies have said over the last 20 years and conflated it directly with voting machines. The outright lies were obvious. Dead people voting, etc. But a lot of it was twisted just enough. It was, as usual, outrageous.

Its the kind of lesson some people have to learn the hard way. I bricked my first degoogled phone because I trusted an AI too much. I was dumb I know, but it blow my mind that people in multi-million dollar companies make the same mistake.

Matching freaks is hard. Kink is a spectrum, and I haven’t been exploring it for a few years, but from what I remember, the various communities of kink are always mismatched. What he has is almost a trillion dollars in stock value, which translates to almost a trillion dollars in credit. He can’t start tossing around a billion dollars like it’s parade confetti. This actually makes it worse, not better. This isn’t a statement to defend them. It’s a statement to say that billionaires are in a completely different world. They might as well be on a completely different planet. Their entire lives run on money in a way ours never will. It’s all debt-based. Elon can take out loans against his stock, as throttled by his bank, but his credit limit is calculated based on his stock value of almost a trillion dollars. I’m oversimplifying it in some ways, but the nuance is important to actually point out. Because if all of his investments were to vanish, Elon would still be rich. He will never have zero dollars. I can almost guarantee that anything he spends is not his own money, but some form of debt that is held against his stock. We use money, another fake, imaginary thing, but he uses debt. His money likely never changes. I don’t even think there are any real billionaires. They’re just a small army of people who have severely overvalued stock that they use to take out loans as collateral. TLDR: THESE BILLIONAIRES DON’T EVEN HAVE MONEY. They have over valued stock and debt. We all end up paying for this bullshit.

It always breaks me up a little how important HP was to my friend groups growing up. I mean, all the way into my mid-20s. My trans friends and neurospicy friends both loved Harry Potter, going so far as having themed Christmas stockings. All of those happy memories, all of that money given to someone who turned out to be so spiteful. I can't look at HP the same way anymore. So many HP fans were queer. There are some people who have just been filled with so much wrong information over the course of their life that it’s impossible to reach them. It’s been that way for ages around the world. The 2000s were full of news stories from places like Russia, with protests about the actions of their government and the treatment of political opposition. Those stories have largely died down, not because Russia changed, but because they clamped down on dissent. The US is just catching up. It wasn’t just Russia either. We’ve seen this globally with most major political activities over the last decade or more. Where once we were getting video of events in real time, now they’ve learned to shut down the internet, censor the digital forums, 'flood the zone'. Where once you could be critical of this government or that, it has become an internet of heavily commercialized influencers. It sucks, man. Like...Russia, China, India, Iran, Isreal, UK, and a handful of others that I can't remember. It's happening everywhere and all in slightly different ways but it's not JUST the US. I just tend to remember Russia the best because they are the closest to what seems to be happening in the US at a visual level. The old videos of arrests and protests in Russia almost mirror the modern ICE videos. I suspect it will only get worse.
