What happened to Greenland and Canada?

On a whole I don’t support any sort of unnecessary bodily modification, declawing, tail bobbing, circumcisions, or whatever. What bothers me is when people find it necessary to interject some unneeded drivel because of some passing word that’s a perfectly well accepted term.

Last election cycle I would be driving around town, and of course you see the rabid maga cultists plastering dear leader on everything. You would find a few tepid supporters of Biden/Harris, nothing extravagant but Dems don't tend to go into a frenzy over their candidates. More anti-trump than anything when he's been a factor. Then you have the 'genocide joe' crowd, who largely treat it as a given that people know the maga clan is bad so they don't say anything about them, but are real vocal about how bad the Dems are and make it their business to shout it at everyone. Now anyone that can math knows our system only works for two parties and with the two electoral votes auto granted to every state as a base it favors small more rural ones that tend to vote red. When people go around constantly going on about how bad the only viable party to the r's is then people end up with a 'fuck it, why bother' mindset. I'm no fan of the weak spine 'we wrote a nasty letter' D's who won't lay a real smackdown on the idiots across the aisle, but I can see why it happens. The right and far right will fervently vote for whomever is the most vicious option they think they can get away with. The far left though, they tend to protest and stay home if someone doesn't pass their purity test, so their support and votes are unreliable.

As we get more towards the proper midterm election season we'll inevitably start seeing more of this 'both-sides/hopeless' stuff that does little other than to help suppress the vote...

I'll give ya a hint, women, or any other involuntarily grouped together association of peoples (gender/race/sexuality/etc) are not a monolithic block that should be generalized in some fashion. Taking issue with A woman is one thing, saying ALL women is another. An individual is not the standin for the group. Groups that one wilfully joins who act badly as a standard protocol can be shit on all you like. Nobody is going to flame you for shit talking a nazi, but saying 'women (or pick a group) are like this' always has exceptions.

An interesting point, to some extent I think that response can be strongly correlated to generational lines. Those of us born not of this century can be a bit curmudgeonly and take it as an attack on the self rather than seeing it for the impact on society. The phrase 'man up' has a different connotation when it was instilled from a young age to mean 'be strong' rather than being seen as an isolationist closed off mindset. It takes time, even for those willing to learn.

Today we have a new poster Bob, coming in fast and furious on comms across the spectrum... Ooh! It seems 'King' tried to pull the 'women bad' card, and I just don't think that'll work out for him...

Google puts up a major chunk of the funding Mozzia gets in a year. If you don't want them being the default choice in search or having your queries fed to their bots then start putting up the money to make their support no longer required.
