As much as the Western Liberal class will act like they had nothing to do with the ongoing disaster in and around Iran, remember that they've been stoking this conflict for decades, and as recently as last month. Currently, they are simply engaging in ass covering because even they had no idea how quickly and catastrophically the assault would end up going.
