@piccolbo@hachyderm.io @skyfaller@jawns.club @john@sauropods.win Yes. It just using many dependences. However, compared to Tw*tt*r, Mastodon is far more lightweight. I really notice a difference when I'm using Mastodon on a phone. Tw*tt*r sucks up data like vacuum cleaner.

@piccolbo @skyfaller @john Mastodon doesn't use any trackers. There are virtually none on the fediverse. I was directing that at Tw*tt*r, and being slightly comedic about. You've nothing to worry about with trackers on the fediverse.

@pwm @skyfaller @john @piccolbo @dave You're aware that the reason Akkoma was developed was because Pleroma was starting to get as bloated as Mastodon right? Although Mastodon is not nearly as bloated as Tw*tt*r. (Trackers! Trackers everywhere!) Good grief! I'm starting to sound like a paranoid nutcase.

@skyfaller @john I really wanted to like Pleroma, but its just too dang buggy (even Akkoma) and the interface is just all over the place. I definitely favor Mastodon, Misskey, and Soapbox.
