who would win, psychic powers or checksum algorithm?

@jerry@infosec.exchange I will probably be moving somewhat soon. Not just because of this current drama (although this did hasten my decision - I like seeing that part of fedi on my timed line, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy), I figured this server had got "too big" (it's the biggest glitchsoc server after all). For the record, I personally hope official government-agency accounts of ANY country being on ANY server that isn't ran by them or some other branch of that government is a short term thing ("short term" in the timescales of slow-moving governments of course). Although I'm thinking "how the turn tables" with regards to an American government entity storing data on German servers (with Big Corporate Social Media it tends to be the other way around!). I also understand that official government accounts are against plenty of people's threat models, and/or make people uneasy, no matter which (branch of) government is involved. At least moving is an option on fedi. And self-hosting for that matter.

@vxunderground well, yes, remote servers can fake counts like that I, personally, have -1 followers and proud of it.
