@RicardPardell@mstdn.social @murshedz@mstdn.social The real issue at this point would be getting the word out to encourage everyone over here to add Twitter handle to their Masto profile. I’m sure lots of folks already did but not all. There was a serious push on Twitter starting near the US Election, to do that over there (to post your alt social addresses, Masto in particular).

@RicardPardell@mstdn.social @murshedz@mstdn.social It took me 10 mins to use Fedifinder to scan my Twitter for Masto addresses, download a CSV file listing those accounts, and upload CSV over here into my following list. That was in November - now that f***ing space karen is blocking folks listing Masto addresses in their accounts, the process is… ended?

@murshedz@mstdn.social Yes… It’s going to be interesting to see how this develops. Non-journalists with a conscience are clearly leaving the place in droves now, after his behavior over the past week on several fronts. If one of the new social networks takes off and becomes “the new place,” I can imagine journalism shifting as well. But as Obama has often described things, it’s like turning an immense oil tanker. We’re not in some small swift sailboat here. Need patience.
