@marcoarment@mastodon.social I mean, not to put too fine a point on it, but Apple just had another record quarter. Also, making beautiful apps like Overcast for the App Store makes you a Cook regime collaborator, not a member of the resistance.

@harryprayiv@mastodon.social @michi@wetdry.world The human species has been doubling down on technology since that first guy in Mesopotamia 20,000 years ago decided he wanted bread and beer instead of following wild cow herds around. Humanity has won every technological revolution: agricultural, industrial, silicon, information. There was massive dislocation every time too, but every time humanity was ultimately better off. AI will probably be the same.

@michi@wetdry.world It's amusing, but I find the visceral reaction of many technology enthusiasts baffling. AI has quickly become indispensable to me. Problems and tasks that required tedious searching now are asked and answered. I regularly engage in conversations to stimulate my own thinking, like on a walk yesterday about the philosophy of externalism and space-time. I suppose how anyone reacts to AI doesn't matter, though, as it's an unstoppable change agent now.
