@Viss@mastodon.social I think there's nothing bad in making devs comfy. But I agree that always introducing another level of abstraction is hurting both security and performance and is just ill-conceived. But it seems this is just the way most devs are trained to think. I think the rust language is a good example of how to do it right. It comfys devs in a way that actually makes things more secure, while not hurting performance.
