KDE on Arch, aesthetically pleasing and mostly functional out of the box. There are some startup quirks, but that’s likely due to my LUKS setup which I will change with the next re-install. Already tried to fix multiple times, it’s too much of a hassle to keep trying to fix an <5 minutes per day issue.

I wanted to make games as a job. I now make games as a hobby/casual side thing alongside a regular job (looks at state of gamedev industry) … and it seems I dodged an entire drone strike with that one.

It’s smaller, and so there is less temptation to scroll when most of the posts I see are the same posts I saw yesterday. I like the niche linguistic rebels I meet here, and even though I fundamentally disagree with them ("politics” shouldn’t refer to all human group decision, the oakframe is too cryptic for most people to adopt, and “th” is better than “þ"by a wide margin), I respect their willingness to step out of the language comfort zone. Not many people can do that. Also, I like the idea of starting my own Reddit/Twitter/YouTube, so to speak :D
