Was will man eigentlich heutzutage als Lösung haben um in mehreren Zimmern in der Wohnung den gleichen Audiostream laufen zu lassen? Sollte Streams aus dem Internet können und direkt Dateien von einem Netzlaufwerk spielen (wobei letzteres ansonsten sicherlich auch ein eigenständiger Computer erledigen könnte der einfach einen "Radiosender" im lokalen Netz bereitstellt)

Installed a second WiFi AP
Now have WiFi in the kitchen where previously phones would hop to mobile data, but both APs overlap in the bedroom where tower PC is located. One of the two APs is significantly faster than othe other. Let's see which one the PC chooses (guaranteed it'll take the slower one...)

An air purifier is just a fan with a filter on the intake...and a cheap wifi module?! Why would I want to put this on the network? All it can do is blow in one of three levels or not blow?

At least it seems the engineers were considerate enough to make it restart with previous settings when power cycling, so it may just be compatible with a dumb timed switch anyway.

Setting up Desktop PC at the new apartment...

Wifi antenna is still at the old place, so I laid an ugly cable across to the router until the next date I move things across.

The ethernet cable labeled "CAT 7" only does 100 MBit/s but the one labelled "CAT 6" does 1 GBit/s? :neocat_confused:

So I now had to install Google fucking Chrome to turn off hardware acceleration so that I can sync the wall lights behind the TV to colours on the screen and turning off hardware acceleration setting in Firefox doesn't work?!

@der_raDDler TIL dass die Stadt nur 120€ pro Jahr für einen Carsharing Stellplatz im öffentlichen Straßenraum nimmt (und die erhebliche Mehrzahl der Teilauto-Plätze sind nicht im öffentlichen Straßenraum)
