I mean people exist that have the requisite equipment but don't identify as "men" that would surely fit the bill. Just because someone wants to get DP'd doesn't necessarily mean that men are the only option.

Yeah for the person in the moment the best course of action is whatever is going to make survival most likely. I'm more saying it for people who think that complying is some magic spell that will stop police from just killing you if they feel like it.

That's just some fairly recent examples too. There are dozens and dozens of cases of people fully complying and getting killed anyway. Cases where officers were issuing completely impossible or contradictory commands, "suspects" being told to "stop resisting" and being beaten to death when other angles show them not resisting at all. The list goes on and on. "Complying" is not a good way to keep from being brutalized or killed, you're always just rolling the dice of whether or not you're dealing with a psychopath or not.

Oh they absolutely are. No my problem is that I’m nonbinary and with my particular flavor I don’t really want to be gendered as either. But with my build I feel like the only ways I really have a chance of being gendered are Bear Dad, Drag artist, and maybe a tall Soccer Mom depending on how well a hypothetical transition might go. None of those are bad, just as much as I don’t identify with being male the same goes for fully being seen as female too.

So I figure at least for now if I’m gonna be uncomfortable I’ll take the devil I know, then I’ll affirm my identity in other ways that make me happy.

Nah I only really play as girls to balance out getting seen as a "guy" so much IRL. Neither the "girl" build nor the "guy" build really have the kind of gameplay I'm looking for. What I really wanted to play as is something that makes people wonder which one I am. But when the random rolls in the character creator spit you out growing to 6'2" with a build like a fridge in a fursuit that build ain't something you can really respec into. So I'm stuck with "Giant Dad" basically.

Usually they get hung up on the gender they were assigned at birth and are terrified that they would be considered gay based on that.

It’s “funny” that very thought about gender expectations is what made my own gender crisis in high school so difficult to navigate. I was only aware of the full Binary transition options and so being amab I thought the only way to be “not boy” was to “be girl” instead, I didn’t know nonbinary was even a thing someone could be until my now wife heard my story over a decade later and introduced me to it.

So being the imaginative little doofus I am, I set about imagining my life from that perspective. Trying to see if I’d be happier as a girl. But what I kept coming back to was that as much as being a boy felt wrong, as much as I hated the gender expectations put on me for being born in that box, and as much as I wished that I had been born different because of things like being bullied for showing emotion or being seen as a predator for wanting to work with children deep down, all I’d be doing is trading one set of expectations I hated for a different set of expectations I hated in different ways.

I didn’t learn until much later that a lot of that had to do with subconsciously being very uncomfortable as an asexual person with the amount of overt sexualization women face. Which makes a ton of sense because one of the big “male” expectations I hated was being constantly made to feel like I was broken because I wasn’t looking to sleep with anything vaguely female shaped with a pulse.

Sorry, I’m rambling… uh… gender expectations are bullshit? Yeah… yeah that.

Of course it assumes that context. Otherwise they’re illegally exercising war powers without proper declaration from Congress lmao. For real though, it would not surprise me in the slightest if they baked in a parameter to the model like telling it to begin from the assumption that all orders given are lawful.

Basically “System 1” is intuitive gut responses, while “System 2” is anything that takes conscious effort to think through. For a lot of people, 550/2=225 might look right at first glance (System 1) and only with conscious thought at what that division actually evaluates out to would they realize that 500/2 on it’s own is 250 and therefore the answer is actually 275 (System 2)
