Is anyone surprised any more? JFC, this story is creepy.
Rush, 49, is also accused of forging his educational and military credentials. He worked for the CIA for 17 years, and held a senior role in the agency’s Directorate of Science and Technology, which utilizes cutting-edge technology in intelligence investigations.
Rush had a years-long professional relationship with the current Deputy Defense Secretary Steve Feinberg, the billionaire Trump backer who founded private equity behemoth Cerberus Capital Management, sources told NBC News.

McBride’s Hit Song Is Not About The 4th Of July
If you listen to the rest of the lyrics, you will quickly find out that the song is actually about a mother who her alcoholic husband is abusing. The narrator is just eight years old when she decides to get out of the way of her parents fighting, and heads to the county fair. There, she heard whispers from her neighbors about how her dad was a “dangerous man,” but no one did anything to help her or her mom.
While the narrator was at the fair, her mom set fire to her house with her husband inside. The lyric, “They just put out the flames, and took down some names, and send me to the county home,” revealed that the mother was also inside the house.

We paid reparations after the Mexico American war but at least we got territory.
We're paying Iran $300 billion, and they get the Strait of Hormuz.
One of the Obama era's 4th of July shows headlined Barry Manilow. I did not think more cringe was possible.
Um....
Milli Vanilli is playing at Trump's wrestling fest.
Smith returned about two hours later, Waldorf recalled, and told her she had two options: She could remain under observation at the hospital, or she could get into her car and drive nearly four hours to Kansas, a state with no abortion ban, where doctors could induce her. The hospital would not authorize a transfer or arrange to send her in an ambulance, and it offered no explanation for why.

Just a suggestion: Networks should not air their required monthly "emergency broadcast test" when there's a possible chemical disaster to the south, and a huge fire to the north, 5 minutes after broadcasting an Amber Alert.
“The president asserts the extraordinary power to unilaterally impose tariffs of unlimited amount, duration, and scope. In light of the breadth, history, and constitutional context of that asserted authority, he must identify clear congressional authorization to exercise it.”

Took a year for SCOTUS to say that a blatantly unconstitutional policy was unconstitutional.
Six women killed Tuesday in an avalanche near Truckee were close friends from the Bay Area, Idaho and the Lake Tahoe region who had extensive ski experience and bonded over their shared love of the outdoors, according to a statement from their families released Thursday.
A spokesperson representing their families identified six of the victims as Carrie Atkin, Liz Clabaugh, Danielle Keatley, Kate Morse, Caroline Sekar and Kate Vitt, noting they were all mothers, wives and passionate skiers "who cherished time together in the mountains."

Prince Andrew's Arrest
Across the pond in Britain, accountability is a serious matter
Interestingly, Andrew’s arrest is not concerning the 2011 sexual assault allegations that were brought against him by Virginia Giuffre — but it was recent stories in the British media about him passing on financial information to what the British press called “his pedo mate.” (Epstein)
It’s astonishing how much accountability seems to be possible once you cross the Atlantic.

Both California and Indiana have introduced social media minimum age laws, citing Australia as an example. Good step forward, IMO.

“Royal persons are both gods and beasts. They are persons but they are suprapersonal, carriers of a bloodline: at the most basic, they are breeding stock, collections of organs.”
How Legal Immigration Became a Deportation Trap
Under Trump, the Homeland Security agency responsible for processing visas and green cards has become a site for easy arrests.
Anna’s first thought was to explain that there was some mistake. “I wasn’t afraid,” she later told me. At the end of 2024, she and her family, including her four children, who are from a country in Central Africa, were granted refugee status in the U.S. The federal government had resettled them in Minnesota, a state which they found cold and strange but mercifully quiet. Her immigration papers, which she always carried with her, were in order. “I thought I was going to talk to the man and show him my documents,” Anna said. Instead, as soon as she opened her car door, he put her in handcuffs.

Trammel Crow is Harlan Crow's brother. Harlan Crow is the billionaire who funds Justice Clarence Thomas.
It was never about immigration. It was about election rigging.
