I stand corrected. I had to specifically upload the single notes.js file for Misskey / CherryPick / Sharkey and not the full archive. If you're importing from Mastodon I believe that would be the outbox.json file from your archive.

There is an import feature, but I don't think I can test it. Upload failed This file cannot be uploaded as it exceeds the file size limit.

Well, I uploaded the import and I would presume it should be working, but it is not. I don't see any old post from anywhere.

After attempting the 3rd or 4th import (I lost track) and still no post importing I got this error: Rate limit exceeded. Please try again later. So that's that. #Catodon #Misskey #Sharkey #Mastodon #OpenSource

Yeah, we tried two post imports and nothing worked. The first was likely due to the notes being from a Cherry Pick site, which is a fork of Misskey, but a fork none the less. So I tried the 2nd post import which was from a Sharkey site. Still no joy.

@panos@catodon.rocks Well, that's unfortunately. Because I have the archive (Mastodon) of the account and your limit how big the file is allow, so the zip wouldn't upload. I have the Sharkey archive, but you're telling me the import doesn't like that either or the note.json file either. Oh well. That's that, I guess. It doesn't work as needed.

@panos@catodon.rocks In my opinion, I think using the simple note.json or outbox.json would be best, because some of those ZIP archives are 500 MB or so. We're talking about 1/2 a GB. The .json file may not import all the attachments, but at least the text post will be there. But that's just my opinion.
