woke up to a lovely email from a guy I've been talking to as he's written a screenplay about leaving orthodox judaism.

On a whim I sent him my play, and he's suggested I enter it into a contest for jewish playwrights his dad runs!

I'm really flattered, and pleasantly surprised that a first effort has gotten this sort of encouragement. it needs some work for sure, but, still, really nice😁

sometimes i wonder, instead of panicking about finding an employer, if I should just start my own company.

who knows. maybe I could be the next Nasty Pig.

a very minor bitch about job hunting:

I really wish that 'direct to consumer' sales companies were just flat out made illegal.

Some of them are better than others, but a majority of them are just straight up pyramid schemes preying on young people desperate for work. I'd kinda hoped they'd not be a thing here but I hoped far too much.

I've been dealing with a lot of stress which Im still unsure how to manage and I was able to control myself.

Still not pleased. I feel like this happens about once every four months.

had another lapse yesterday.

I'm fine, I did't binge. I had like one, small, 175 ml bottle of wine (about a quarter of a normal sized bottle)

but holy fuck do I feel ashamed
