That would be why you're seeing this sentiment pop up so much the last few days. Yes, I know voter registration is a state-level thing and selective service is federal. But any state that claims they can't do automatic voter registration in the modern era is just lying.

@5klp471 @godpod Trump is between a rock and a hard place with this one. If something happens to Maxwell, three MAGA base will go apeshit. The other option I've seen floated is she gives false testimony that he wasn't involved in any bad stuff and he pardons her or commutes her sentence, but this would also make his base go crazy. A final option is to keep ramping up other crises until people stop focusing on it, which is honestly the scariest option for we who care about peace and civil rights.
