I probably spend way too much time trying to think about what does Ginza think. It's quite apparent that she thinks and doesn't just simply feel emotions, but I always want to be careful about projecting my human biases and thought patterns upon her. I want to, if it's possible, think of what her thoughts and ponderings might be like. You should have seen it that first morning she ever came to me when I called her. It was a little past 5 in the morning, Ginza was sitting on the sidewalk on the other side of the courtyard between 2 apartment buildings. I saw her when I looked out the window and so I grabbed the bag of treats. When she saw me and heard me and the bag of treats, she got up and then started the traverse of grass that was thick with overnight dew. She walked across lifting her paws as high as they could go.

3 years ago Ginza started coming to me when I called for her and shook a bag of treats. I then soon started feeding her breakfast and working on tempting her with that breakfast to come inside the apartment and eat there. She's still spicy some but I feel she enjoys her indoor life now. Lately I've been thinking of how different it is for her -- if she gets hungry in the night, she can go to her kibble bowl and crunch away. And it's never cold, she always has a warm place to sleep.

One thing I haven't talked about is how Ginza has declared war on pens. If she comes across a pen, it is her duty to attack it by batting it around.

Woke up around 230 this morning, so this day got started early. Cold outside. I've hissed at it. But sun is rising and no fog seems to be forming.
