-Warm food is a morale factor, do not ignore it, even when pressed for time.
-Most furs want to meet more furs, interact as you have motivation for.
-If you want to build longer term contacts, it helps to have a calling card / Linktree link, so they can find out again on the internets.
-If of that persuasion, ease into partying / drinking. Overdoing it the first night will hurt your whole convention week.
-Same goes for dancing, being too sore to climb stairs is a thing.
-On that topic, take the stairs, if at all available, and not ridiculously high floor. You will save time, get a bit of exercise, and reduce load on elevators for those that need them even more (disabled, suiters...).
-If a convention with big dealer's den, plan ahead - check the map, see who you at least want to look at closer.
-On that topic, go in early enough, even when not hunting for commission slots. Some sell out quickly, or do not do the final day(s).
