First of all I am not a firm subscriber to the beliefs of gender abolitionism (GA). I do however belief that the sticker comes from a gender abolitionist (GA) viewpoint.
Second gender abolitionism calls for the abolition of all gender, so yes women too.
“all women are devils, but it’s okay, because you can reject your womanhood and thereby be a good person” is very bad faith in my opinion the actual take from a GA point would be. "the social/gender role of woman/men is bad for humanity and should be abolished to overcome patriarchy" would you call that sexist? You could argue so, but I would not say that it is problematic as it basically just wants to loose the basis on which sexism exists.
Now why do GA's often first call for the abolition of men?
Men are the pillars of patriarchy they hold inherent power and in the system and hold far greater means to overthrow it since they have the power in it.
When I first explored ideas of GA for me I absolutely did speak to binary trans men and women of whether we are reinforcing binary gender norms and patriarchal concepts by conforming to binary gender norms and thus part of the problem. I am a binary trans woman myself. Because I came to the conclusion that I do not think GA is that good but I would not denounce it on the basis of sexism.
On privileges, patriarchy hurts men? No shit! What? Forcing gender roles on people hurts them even if it elevates their status in social hierarchy? Who could have guessed. This is basically just an argument for GA
Men who are decent human beings are not class traitor. They are class traitors when they stop being men. That was my statement.
Also having privileges is a bad thing. If we were to succeed in the goal to give everyone privileges, they would not be privileges anymore they would be the standard.
A privilege by definition needs someone to not have it which is why I reject them.
And I reject the notion of privilege as one "having grown up in a family with two loving parents is for example something everyone should have" Like why two parents? Some people dont have any bio parents can they still have childhood in other support systems that makes them happy and fullfille? Yes ofc. This feels like you just projecting what you think should be the "right" way of growing up and calling that a privilege.
Most importantly I want say again that I am not a follower of gender abolitionism, I just wanted to point out that the sexism allegations are either not correct or if you were to define GA as sexist then I would call the sexism not "bad" as it goes against all gender.
