I’m on FO4 as well. Started it probably 3 or 4 times and never managed to get too far. But it looks a lot more promising this time. Found the right mods to tailor the game to my needs (a lot less radiant bullshit and easier outpost building).

RaspBerry with YunoHost randomly crashing

Hello, I need some help troubleshooting. As per the title, I’m using a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Plus Rev 1.3 with Debian bookworm kernel 6.12.93+rpt-rpi-v8 to host a local YunoHost server (12.1.40.1 stable) with the following apps: AdGuard Home (0.107.77) Baïkal (0.9.4) Grocy (4.6.0) Tiny Tiny RSS (2026.07.05) Sadly, the server randomly crashes and can only be rebooted trough a hardware reset (pulling the plug). Here are the last 50 lines of journalctl before the last crash: privatebin.net/?dbca869581c95573#83bk7W2CEPbeBGAX… Here are the last 50 lines of journalctl before the crash before that: privatebin.net/?f7bdf2fd48ab12f7#9ZPh68rJ1p8JdzyL… I do not see anything troubling. The older journalctl read outs are equally bland. Do you have any advice on how to proceed?

Couldn’t you move the mouse to 1920,1080 or whatever your resolution is for the same amount of time to correct the movement? Since you can move the mouse in millisecond speeds it should barely be noticeable

Seeing as a recent study uncovered even small amounts of screen time during the curriculum results in worsened reading comprehension amongst other things, I don’t see how this study has any worth.

Finished Lil Guardsman. It’s an interactive show with some branching plots. The visuals and VO are top notch. There just isn’t a lot of game in it. I’d recommend it as a palet cleanser in between more serious games.

I’m not sure, since I’ve never owned a credit card. Debit cards pull directly from your account and you havs very limited credit available. Also you don’t have card numbers etc. you could use online.

I’ve had to look up what that is, that’s how rare credit cards are here. It seems to exist. However, I’m reluctant to adopt a whole new payment method for one single use case. Also Visa and Mastercard aren’t necessarily more trustworthy than paypal and co.

Like others have said, I only have debit cards, as does the large majority in my country. Credit cards are only ever useful while traveling. And I’m not going to gift my private info to data brokers like paypal just because I want video games. Meaning I’m literally looking at the end of an era, because I don’t know of any other way to purchase games on steam anymore.

Brave Browser has faced controversy primarily due to its auto-completion of URLs with affiliate links that earned the company commissions without user consent, which raised concerns about transparency and user privacy. Additionally, its integration of cryptocurrency features has sparked debate over whether these add unnecessary complexity and potential privacy risks. blog.alexseifert.com/…/why-i-recommend-against-br…

Kiro ships with Claude pre-installed and ready to wire up — AI assistance built into the distro, not a side-quest. Same Anthropic model that built the install. Not for me

Yes please! The sooner we normalize that, the sooner these threads will stop being about people explaining idea nr. 26637372 how to implement parental controls. It’s not about protecting children!

Never tried it myself, but doesn't steam have a feature to stream to your friends? Your friend would just need to install the client and create an account. All the other options in this thread are just if you want to serve your streams to a broader audience

Your thinking is too complicated. There are open source, trusted and vetted apps that can verify age without breaking privacy. No need for antiquated revivals. The question is, will those apps be used. The answer is no, since age verification is all about breaking privacy. Which means your idea wouldn't help either.

Not that old yet, but I'm currently finishing The Alters. It's a beautiful, atmospheric survival game with a relatively simple gameplay loop but intriguing background story with branching decisions. I'd say play it once for the story.

I really don’t like how the “protect the children” excuse every neo fascist government is touting to sell their wet dreams of tracking everyone 24/7, still gets debated like it has any validity. Kudos to Japan for having seemingly working child protection laws, but this just doesn’t have any relevance to the surveillance machine that’s currently being built around us. It’s coming even if every child disappeared today. I’d rather see more active discussions around what the next steps are, alternatives to the current web and guides how to set them up for example.
