The US state of Kansas has passed a law immediately invalidating the driver's licenses of trans Kansans. The state sent letters to people it has identified as trans requiring them to immediately obtain new drivers' licenses w/ their gender as assigned at birth & to pay for the reissuance. In the US, in most places, you can't get anywhere w/o a car & it is most people's only photo id.
