@geoffcmason@universeodon.com @RickiTarr@beige.party I just don't like steak. I don't like any meat that has skin and bones and sinews and anything that reminds me that it came from a dead animal. I'm enough of a hypocrite to like meat that has been processed not to remind me, but I've mostly given up even that for environmental reasons. No more hamburger. Until recently I ate organic chicken breast heavily trimmed, but I've given that up too. My new roommate eats meat every day and I just went off meat.

@RickiTarr@beige.party My mother was an OK cook, but with one exception, it was all from the Betty Crocker cookbook. Bland 50s food. The exception was fried rice, which she learned from a cook at the restaurant where she worked as a bookkeeper.
I hated the nights when we had steak. I was forced to eat it. I cut it into small cubes and gulped it down with water as if it were pills.
Now I'm mostly vegetarian :)

Those weird sticking out edges are what happen when you sew a pillow by sandwiching two squares and sewing around the edges. You need to round off the corners if the pillow is to look nice (and be comfortable). There are several methods for doing this. Look online.

@cstross@wandering.shop I am one of those pesky editors. I would point out the problem in a comment and add a suggested solution ... in the comment. That left the writer free to come up with their own solution, which was often better than mine.

Wearing dead-tree books not necessary if you have a phone or an ereader. I have access to more than 4000 ebooks (stored in Dropbox or on Kindle) on my phone.
