It's midnight, and our neighbour's insane cockerel is going off every 20s or so.

Going by the noises coming from the hole in the wall of the owl house (a barn), Mister Barn Owl better get his arse there sharpish, preferably with a plump rodent in his beak. Missus Barn Owl has need of his services.

So annoying

It's surprising how loud a mouse scurrying through dead leaves sounds at night. I thought we had a deer in the yard, or that one of the horses was out.
But it was just a mouse, or mice, and a lot of dry willow leaves.

@HauntedOwlbear@eldritch.cafe @Escoutaire@eldritch.cafe One trunk from the tree on the bank by the post box was rotten at the base. Ivy on the wall caught it so no damage to roof that I can see. Bush behind post box kind of flat now. All cleared up, can process to firewood over next few weeks.

TFW you come back from the shops and half a tree has decided it's done with this upwards thing and is now trying to be horizontal...
