Germany has a public broadcast system with different stations providing federal state-specific programming. Daily at 8 PM the stations switch to a news show signal, the @tagesschau which airs on a public station serving the whole country. (There are also private channels, of course.)
Here is an example how this happens and how some stations show their state-specific weather forecast while others continue with the central feed.
