@brendannyhan I've been noodling on this - what about requiring some percentage of outparty users who VIEWED (and thus had chance to rate) note saying its helpful? What I'm trying to avoid is situation where a good note initially has high fraction of outparty "helpful" ratings and gets displayed, but then tons of outparty folks jump on it and down vote so then note is not longer displayed (eg as happened w BW notes put on Musk tweets)

@brendannyhan ya fair so I guess it's more like saying you need a certain percentage of outparty (or neutral) "helpful" votes that's pretty low - need to work out details etc but I think can get around this "nothing controversial gets tagged" issue

@brendannyhan Ya inability to flag controversial posts is a clear limitation of the "bridging" approach. Id propose: "helpful" notes need to (i) have a majority of people on one side rate it helpful (ii) some minimum amount of people on the other side rate it helpful (defined eg as at least 50 people or 20% of # of inparty people that think its helpful, whichever is smaller) Idea is that you don't need wide bipartisan agreement, just some minimum of people on the other side to agree
