Kriminalität lässt sich nicht durch Gewalt bekämpfen sondern indem die Ursachen bekämpft werden also vor allem durch soziales. Wer (egal welche Art von) Hunger hat wird immer einen Weg finden diesen zu stillen. Und dabei rede ich nicht vom Individuum sondern von der Gesellschaft. Einzelne können abgeschreckt werden aber wenn man die Kriminalität auf ein Mindestmaß reduzieren will ist Hilfe wirksamer als Gewalt (allein).

Just moving something to /lib does not make pacman aware of the dependency as it has its own database. With makepkg you are greating a package so if this package depends on gtk2 then pacman has to know that it is installed or it will give you the error you got. Just install gtk2 per package and you should be good.

@Alice@beige.party for me it depends. Often videos are more complete. Written instructions often link to other instructions or assume knowledge that I don't have and first need to look up. When I see someone building a simple proof of concept from the ground up in a video it often helps. But of course most of the times text is better.

@Mara@hachyderm.io I think this would absolutely be doable and a good idea. I would just prefer unwrap_or_panic() and unwrap_or_panic_with(msg) instead. Especially expect(msg) is just a bad name in my opinion. unwrap() sounds a bit too harmless but expect() really makes no sense to me. But I think a clippy lint is enough and it could be an alias for a really long time to not break things.

@eri with Linux on phones this is even true today and I really had this thought already :) but since a few weeks ago 2 of the 3 cameras in my phone now work barely 🥳️
