You can also replace individual components. It’s basically a bunch of binaries using an API.

The main problem is that people don’t understand that it is NOT “just an init system”

You need to get up quick because it will be harder the longer it lasts. Once standing firmly on the ground, lean slightly forwards to shift most of the weight to the front of the foot. It never failed to help me.

Stand up as fast as possible and put your weight on that leg.

Ever heard of parents? It’s not the job of the OS or the browserto monitor and control a kids internet access. In most jurisdictions you need to be an adult to legally get an Internet access. So people using the Internet are either adults or under the supervision of adults.

The browsers sooner or later will always respond “18+” and do not ask the OS.

It’s the normal driver in the state it was when Nvidia dropped support. @Ooops@feddit.org described it very well.

I don’t know the situation with Ubuntu, but on Arch Linux older Nvidia drivers are available as legacy driver DKMS modules working with the current kernel and tools. So basically: Yes, this will work on a technical level. My 1080 is supported by one of the legacy driver packages and is roughly 10 years old now. I am pretty sure something similar exists for Ubuntu.
