@Terry@detroitriotcity.com@Lyle@nicecrew.digital I don't understand why they give themselves monster tits. I don't find it in the least bit attractive, and they've ruined what could have been presumably an attractive set.
@Terry@detroitriotcity.com I think this references that 4chan post where they're like, "No homo, bro," but what it describes was definitely not "No homo".
@deprecated_ii@poa.st@mikuphile@gearlandia.haus@RustyCrab@clubcyberia.co Along the lines of GUIs for desktop, and the same goes for mobile, people seem to think that using a web browser API in an app makes it an app. It does not. It's a stripped-down, insecure browser with adware added in. People have forgotten how to program, and I wish for the programming apocalypse so people might get back to using real languages and APIs.
I just read an eBook in which there was a word spelled five different ways in the same chapter. Foreigner or not, how do you fail this badly at pattern recognition?
I once had an admin "optimize all the code in the project" by putting functions like this all on a single line. Mthfkr it's hard enough to read on multiple lines.
@deprecated_ii@poa.st I had an admin who would rewrite all the code so that as much of it would fit on each line as possible.
"Hey, look, I took your 1,000 line code project and reduced it to 800 lines; so much more efficient!"
He published it to production and immediately went on hiatus.
Bro, you fucking broke everything.
I'd like to think that this makes things come full circle, and suddenly my ability to code C++ without using AI becomes a highly marketable skill again.
This is completely off-topic, but whenever I see a bunch of games in Steam downloading, it always reminds me of the time I lived in a place in Japan where I had 2.5Gb/s fiber optic internet in Japan. Transfer rates really did reach 500MB/s, up to 2GB/s, at times. I downloaded my entire Steam library onto my NVMe drives in a matter of minutes. I have nearly 2,000 games in my library.
I miss those days, and wish that kind of internet was everywhere. T.T
