@Nonilex@masto.ai i mean it sucks but at least its more honest about what it has always been. same with we should change human resources back to personell managment. its not about humans its about managing personel. its not fluffy, its just honest. the state department is the diplomatic engine. long and slow but effective. the war deparartment is a delete button. we favor the profitable delete button over the long slow doplomatic work, thats the problem.

@ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org the crazy thing they just do immigration theater and then just create endless reasons to cause capitalists in the future to bring in immigrants to support the economy. like you cant even make this shit up. they do not know how to0 do anything but just make every issue they think exists worse and we apparently repeat history in part because of fascism. it cant look itself in the mirror so how could it be competent enough to govern anything for the long term health of it.

@peter@thepit.social i dont know languages so much, i think ive been trying to studying it all from a more systems architecture standpoint. and understanding how it all fits together. im in the middle of a 12 hour video of how a computer works that was just teaching me binary but i have a decent handle on linux or at least know enough to be dangerous. and yeah was trying to make my own what i called abyss database project but i got ahead of myself as i got to finish my nixos set up first and then move on to that. i was trying ot set up the computer as much around what my brain needs to perform well. and omg i so want to eventually get into reticulum and mesh networks, i want to be that random guy on the block with a reticulum network projected to the community and to my knowledge there is a way to set it up so that its discoverable but also explains it self to people so they can learn enough to join up. half the time you just need to be that seed that starts and if it goes wide enough someone eventually sees it. or heck, drop a random page of paper with typed out explanation fo 'you now have reticulum network discoverable and here is why that is cool for you in this location" i keep thinking we need to go talk to those people with the like lift trucks that fix high wires and stuff and talk them into installing stuff high up in places that people dont care enough about as long as it has a solar panel and a sort of open sourced open networking set up that could be set up to work for x number of years. and maybe we just need to fund them or find a way to get them to be "hey i have a place im willing to put one" and then we just have people who fundraise for it and we might be able to gradually network a town. just build it up so that it does not need ISP's or anything. it be kinda cool

@jenniferplusplus@hachyderm.io i'll admit I'm def in the camp of i started with a bio degree and now just so existentially curious that I'm willing to screw up and fail but also like hey maybe i can learn computers and coding in way. but yeah so bunted out and mainly i kinda have honed myself as more a complex systems thinker now that i try to just learn systems instead and see what hacks i can earn but this post def sent me down a rabbit hole to try to create better strategies around. here i am watching a 12 hour video on computers on youtube starting in teaching me binary addition and stuff to how things are stored in memory and well. well see how far i get on coffee curiosity and existential dread and the fear of being alone with my self so yeah i shall keep learning. but the "magic incantations" made me laugh and yup apparently LLMs are just stochastic probabilistic magic eight balls.

@Hteph@blahaj.zone @Strandjunker@mstdn.social to be fair cant it be both, they are not incompatible they can occur in the same elite. also part of this is because i know the tech elites are aware of climate change, they are smart enough to see it and learn it, and also they deal with energy all the time so they kinda get energy. they also have been reported to have a dead date or end date for humanity in their social circles they all seem to have and are just trying to be part of the group that survives the great filter.

@Strandjunker@mstdn.social humans hate uncertainty and ambiguity especially when it is related to self esteem - identity - and worldview especially our coalitional worldview. this is just what right wing authoritarians are always like in every country. just the script changes but its always towards purity dynamic's of purifying the coalition's and worldview. hence racism and class conflict.

@anon20394702398750@mastodon.social @adhd_coffee@mastodon.social i went thorough a stage too when i thought i was like not able to read people or had problem. technically you can actually memorize a lot of those universal body language signs and learn to understand their patterns and even read how to think about their body language. it just gives you a read on how they are. you can influence it sometimes but often your in a situation where not really or its like go easy is basically what it is. people tend to also sit within a lot of noise and ambiguity about what is and just kinda deal with what's in front of them emotional vibes and narrative and a hell of a lot of ambiguous noise they just ignore until something goes wrong and even then they tend to ignore it. we are basically thermodynamic -existential narrative primates who use self esteem to feel like we can put on the shirt of identity and use it to go forth and join a mythic narrative where we can do good and become part of the tribe that is doing right by us and others. that's basically the mythic existential identity model of humans. though honestly for me i think part of it was also that i just had such extremes in some personality traits of others and like it naturally produces certain conflicts just normally. the more extreme you are on one or another thing the more you kinda have to be strategic about it because specialization always has trade offs to some degree but you can find ways to work with it.

@adhd_coffee@mastodon.social and at this point i've studied how the epistemic stack of areas all connect in so many ways i cant talk about what some people call "whats is and in front of us" as to me its one giant field of interlocking things that all fit together between physics chemistry bio psycho social cultural political-economic geopolitical-geoeconomic and existential philosophy science etc. then make a giant list of skills and i went and learned those too and now its like i get yelled at by people because i don't see the thing in front of you i see the field it all connects to and its like the pain of having to translate everything to people who are more authoritarians or not curious type is painstaking. like at least if your curious you kinda can tolerate me as long as i try to use metaphors to translate patterns that connect.

@campuscodi@mastodon.social makes you wonder what the overall history of terms of service contracts have been. I also think they should be gotten rid of and replaced with something else too, because the government laws fit in there too. like sure it's written at a college level. but let's make that worse on purpose and better for people with an a local ai that can decode it too. so that the lawyer can read it too to them. and tell them what they can do instead. like its useless as is, and making it easy just reduces the bit rate that companies are required to post. make them post how fisa and other government backdoors go in there. like all of it, the nsa drag net and stuff. like put it all in the terms of service for comcast email and google email too then lets have a terms of service holiday every year when the news goes through these and lawyer explains them back to us so we can all just be very very clear about how we are all being screwed and need to build and fund better tools. because making them more legible just reduces the bit rate too. if you can do both sides of this please do. I'm just tired of these things being outright lies on both top end and bottom legibility end.

@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social The problem with diversionary wars to distract from the Epstein class problems in the strait of Epstein blockades and etc etc... is that it does not incentive good military strategy at all. the other problem is if you look at what the comments about ai for military planning have been. as one guy "it takes what took 6 months in the gulf war and did it in a few days" that means diversionary wars from elites are economically cognitively cheaper to launch and do. meaning the energy and planning to do diversionary stupid wars has gone down for elites but the cost of them has gone up for citizens. This is a structural change. not a "just iran stupid" all future diversionary wars stupid and cheaper

@briankrebs@infosec.exchange prob why even being a non coder and just a curous mf im going the whole nix os route soon. like the more i learn about it the more it just becomes what i want under chaos. I think there are layers of things to do to make it more secure and lower the attack surface but to one understanding is that hard coding everything in the system and having it start over again every day will help prevent some things. and at least we will need to get our own sort of security ai's locally or in community that can be used for the adversarial testing we need to check software. also the most backdoor stuff wont be some nefarious thing by some bookey man, it will be legislated because elites are feeling scared and need to track our movments. like they are aware they are about to be pitcheforked. they see the french revolution metaphors being tossed around and the sentiment analsis at the joy of favories buringing up at the "you just had to pay us a living wage" plus the way i see it, between post quantum encryption and just big tech and corps being a feudal part of the goverment throughout history, we just changed the info processing model of it a tad, we just have this sort of enviroment where the propoganda and security stuff moves up the stack, less from lateral outside, more form above. like the sytems have to evolve to deal with the daily attack of those that might laterally attack us, but its the ones that a technical fix does not fix class conflict and geopolitical issues.
