Why is this a reason to delete Reddit if they didn't provide any private data yet?

I just don’t understand how people still use Flatpak. Once I had to download a small app 400kB more or less, and suddenly it started downloading 200MB of environment packages. Never again.

Is it that bad? I see there are people giving full access to AI but I always thought it wasn't so much to refer to it as "a generation".

I'm not trusting him, but it's his reputation in stake here. He can lie how much he wants, people are dumb but not that dumb, people will start noticing something is off, it'll probably affect his company and shareholders trust on the company. After all, why are you investing into something that you can't know for sure the decisions being taken here. I'm just playing the game, if he's saying no verification ID so let's see it, not a reason to overreact so far. As a matter of fact, it could be worse, he could just say "now IDs will be required end of story" which isn't the case.

I think he's talking about verification ID as in the platform, not as some service that comply with laws. Because verification ID is already being requested in Brazil, I live here and people from the regional privacy subreddit shared a few screenshot of Reddit asking for ID. Not sure what he mean with promising Reddit won't ask for verification ID while it's actually already asking for it. Idk what to think about this, I just know if I need show my ID and there's no way to bypass that Reddit is definitely dead to me.

Mind sharing any source?
