@Immy@equestria.social i know https://hooves.social/ has some advertising material that they've made but I don't think that this server has any at all. I don't know if their stuff is licensed under anything like Creative Commons, you'd have to ask someone on their team like @interru@hooves.social if you'd want to use it.

@Immy@equestria.social yeah anki can become hell if you're not able to do it every day for some reason. i've had times where i've had to go through like 2k cards or so because i didn't have time to do it for like a week lol.

@C_Chell@equestria.social i meant moreso how other sites have a "translate" button on the post that can just do something like run it through google translate or deepl for you, without having to manually do it yourself. seems like a really basic feature that i'd expect to already be in mastodon at this point.

@midnaw@idtech.space idk vscode was terrible for C/C++ when i used it at least. was very buggy and hard to set stuff like the include parsing up properly. most of the time i just wouldn't use anything from it asides from basic highlighting lol
i ended up just switching to using neovim and gdb directly and it's been much easier to use overall.

@midnaw@idtech.space i've mainly had it with C/C++ stuff, but all the ones ive tried for "ide" style text editors like vs code have never really worked properly and have always just been a hindrance rather than any sort of help lol

@midnaw@idtech.space yeah most autocompletes i've used never work correctly. the only one that worked kinda decently was the one in Visual Studio, but that's windows only and can't use most of their compilation/debugging tools for linux 😔

@midnaw@idtech.space i personally find anything really beyond keyword and function name colouring, and like hovering over a function to see what arguments it takes to be annoying and just get in the way. all these weird symbols just clutter the actual text up and make it harder to parse most of the time.
