@mhoye@cosocial.ca IDK, I've seen massive improvements in telling the truth only, and we can quite a bit force it to behave depending on our prompts. It is a beast, so you can either tame it or fear it. So far I feel I tamed it. It serves me, it serves me how I want it, and it serves me good.

And I have the feeling real killers and ones responsible are ignored while the random 3rd party supplier is the easiest to put the blame on, as they are not in the position to retaliate against you, if you say something against them online. Anthropic didn't go around half of the world and attacked another country and fired a missle at a school. At least not by own free will.

@humdrum@social.lol @mhoye@cosocial.ca In the scenario you described, you focus more on the person who can pass a knife, than the person who said "I want to slit this guy's throat, give me a knife". And THAT is the problem I am seeing. Anthropic has the least amount of blood on their hands, so why are they the ones to blame the most? You happily pay taxes used to make the missle which fell on the school. Why not cancel your taxes instead of Claude subscription?

@humdrum@social.lol @mhoye@cosocial.ca "Guns don't kill, people do" is a bad example, as guns have the only and sole purpose to kill. Knives, however, can be used to make meals and feed people. That's why I didn't use guns but knives as an example. Claude (or any AI) can be used for tons of different things, and it is up to the person will they generate a meme or tell it to blast a school off the map.
