So when you 86 a customer, that is not killing them right?

Definitely not! In a restaurant or bar context, 86ing a customer simply means they are banned or kicked out.
It’s the industry way of saying, "We are refusing service to this person and they need to leave." This usually happens because they are being disruptive, are too intoxicated, or have violated house rules.
The confusion likely comes from movies or crime shows where "86" is sometimes used as slang for "getting rid of" someone permanently (murder), but in the world of hospitality, it just means they're no longer welcome at the table.

Getting DonOld out of office will not change the system that created him. DonOld is not the cause of evil, the system that gave him permission to act this way does not go away when DonOld does.

Individuals are not evil, they are the inevitable product of an evil system.

I forget, what is it called when you claim to be negotiating and then suddenly attack the other side while at the conference table.

Perfidy, it's called Perfidy.

Perfidy (Military/Diplomatic): In international law, this is the specific term for acting in bad faith, such as using a flag of truce or diplomatic negotiations to lure an opponent into a trap before attacking.

Bad Faith Negotiator: A term for someone who never intends to reach a fair agreement, but uses the negotiation process to delay or catch the other side off guard.

Betrayal/Treachery: General terms for the violation of trust involved when one party suddenly attacks after claiming to negotiate.

In contemporary diplomacy, this has been described as "abusing diplomacy to cover up a military operation"

@lawyersgunsnmoney Not so much, maga is not one thing, which they will find out quickly if the fascists can consolidate power. At that point they will decapitate the leadership of all the groups that let them take power and if they resist, that group become demonized too. Just read the history of the nazis or communists to learn how that works.

Isaac Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics were never intended as a practical framework for robot behavior. Instead, they represent one of the most elegant pedagogical devices in speculative fiction—a deceptively simple ethical system designed to fail in illuminating ways, thereby forcing readers to grapple with the genuine complexity of moral reasoning.

This paper argues that Asimov deliberately crafted the Three Laws as a static, incomplete framework whose very limitations would generate the philosophical investigations that form the heart of his robot stories. By presenting ethics in the language of engineering specifications, Asimov created a bridge between technical and moral reasoning, demonstrating to his scientifically-minded audience that ethical questions cannot be reduced to algorithmic certainty.
