@hexmaniacmarcy@gaygeek.social (I am referring to *The Sevii Islands* from Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen, remakes of the original Gen-1 R/B/G/Y games from the mid-1990s, that arrived in the mid-2000s after the 2002/2004 releases of R/S/E. The Anime's *Orange Archipelago* equivalent in *The Games.* And while I haven't watched new anime since my teen years - any non-TV anime for that matter - we *do* and did have most of Pokémon natively dubbed!)

Whenever you can find yourself a spare, ...uhh, 56 seconds, *uhhh,* check out this 2-day... uhm, "lazy thing" I did: [ https://editor.p5js.org/Brahvim/full/4P8P7MdOH ]. It is a music-synced animation. You can drag to rewind it. (Flags change as beats of the track pass by. It re-does those changes across the rewound/forwarded range when you drag. If you're unlucky, audio library might freeze the tab-) That's my extent. Some simulation, some Software Design. Oh! And I love writing C.

Disclaimer: I actually grew up on *watching others play* and not myself, and that's for geographical reasons (while the 2000s did have NES/SNES clones and modded PS3s, no Nintendo in my country!). Extra-battles going away is a clear negative, *but the real deal* is actually with The Seviis! *They're forever lost to 2005*...! /s[arcasm]

Entire life: Math sux!1!!
5th grade: Can barely do long multiplication.
6th-10th: Tutored at home by a retired teacher DAILYY!
Grade 10 Math, 87/100.
Diploma Year 1 (grade-11 equivalent): 60/100, I never studied Calculus in my life...
Diploma Year 2 (grade-12 equivalent): 90/100, highest in my class room, BECAUSE I TOOK A WEEK-LONG TUITION! I. Had. NEVER. Studied. Calculus. BEFORE!1!!

@mxchara@seattle.pink Moreover, Lemmy is doing better, Reddit is no longer algorithmic sludge - one can see more "core people" again - and I can definitely also start hanging out with my Discord friends better after all these years! (E.g. playing+making games! They *never* want to change platforms.) I should definitely look forward to a *healthier* internet life. Not necessarily a constrained one. I have learned that there are more ways to have fun. I now need to dig into the weeds and pull out ✨The Gold✨!

@mxchara@seattle.pink There is one! I'll likely still post, but I'll *ban* SCROLLING completely. Mastodon was initially a diary to me, and I may continue to keep it as such! I was aware I would *hate* "The Social Game" since Day 1, and I have often spoken from irritation about most microblogging apps placing the Post-Compose button in the very tab where one *reads* posts. It is distracting! I also like the Forum format much more! I like topics and discussions in one place, not associated with identities.

@mxchara@seattle.pink It's less a sad thing and more a "I have gone TOO FAR!" one! A new friend of mine from The Fediverse had to ask me stop obsessing over them and following them everywhere they went, so I decided that *perhaps* going back to my last-known good state was going to be a good idea. Being *emotionally boxed-in* is no fun, but I was liked for being there. By MANY people. It was a stable state. Friendships established over years. Personal projects worked on, real-life managed.
