It seemed popular at the time MS was pushing "Windows is a touch screen OS" phase, before remembering that there are pretty much no Windows apps that are useful with touchscreen, and the only reason they are relevant is 30 years of vital old software that businesses can't throw away.
I think the niche it tried to open was as a drawing tablet, basically being a built in Wacom, but an iPad and Procreate do that job so much better.

If there’s one thing petrol cars are famous for, it’s being filled with flammable liquids that can and do leak everywhere and combust upon collision.
You can ignore them. Same with all the disingenuous cunts who complain about wind turbines “spoiling the view” who ignore the coal and gas power stations that have littered the skyline for over a century.

It’s a little fuzzy, but that’s OK on a lot of older movies (especially lower budget ones) because they were always a little fuzzy to start with.
You can have all the pixels you want, but you’re not going to get a lot of extra detail out of Critters or Masters of the Universe.

4% is hardly a spike in the scheme of things. That’s just inflation when things aren’t really coming down in price any more.
I bought a drive a year or so ago and was surprised how expensive it was. At some point the price just stopped dropping. Presumably there’s a limit on how cheap you can make a spinning rust drive before it just doesn’t work any more.

Can the HDMI standard not be implemented in hardware somehow, and then the open source software just talks to that hardware?
It seems ridiculous that you can make a device that works fine under HDMI 2.1 but you can’t access it with open source code.

VRR is very useful at these midrange specs though. Avoiding tearing and lurching down to 30fps is honestly the best upgrade I’ve made for my PC in years.
