Either in the woods, near a lake or on the coast. Mainly South Lakes, but always above 54 degrees North. I take a few snaps.
Spuggy staredown
This House Sparrow is not amused.
Slightly unusual snap of a Swallow, just think how many miles (or kilometres) those slender wings will have carried it.
Just finishing the ones from South Walney yesterday.
The iridescence of a sun kissed Lapwing.
Willow Warbler in full song this morning on the Duddon Estuary, on the way back three hours later, still belting it out.
One of the main reasons I was out on the Estuary today was to check the Ringed Plover nesting area, and yes, there is a bit of competition going on between the males. A female was to right of frame.

I was fortunate to be under the flight path of thousands of waders coming into the high tide roost today, Knot (shown here), Dunlin and Grey Plover. The sight, (and sound) of so many birds passing so closely is always an uplifting experience. South Walney.
"Keep your head down Sheila!"
Shelduck are pairing up and appear to be investigating nest sites.
South Walney.
Another Walney warbler from today, a Whitethroat that eventually emerged from the bramble thicket.
Linnet in the pasture, I like the way the reds, greys and browns in the grass complement the tones in the bird.
Spotlight on a Long-tailed Tit, I'd like to say that I planned the lighting for this snap, but...................
