Boxes packed, floor plans memorized, and one very small dog now owns a shark fin. Olive's life jacket showed up today - test run is Lake Tahoe next week with the sibs, final exam is the Pacific. RI chapter closing, Hawai'i chapter loading. Dexter's review pending. #dogsofmastodon #hawaii #laketahoe #bnbandthehawaiindream #DexterAndOlive #islandlife #sup

one of the most attractive parts of moving to Hawai'i may be the several persons confirmed… it’s so far away from the mainland bullshit that you can breath a bit

I don’t love the idea of “running away” but at some point it really boils down to self preservation

A pretty common explanation for bots being good at code is tied to the large open source corpus they (largely pirated) trained on.

After a few weeks of using claude code to build a system that helps the llm/harness plan and maintain alignment to my intent, i can confidently say, that bitch fell on the head.

I think LLMs are good code because code has structured intent. Predicting next words is def useful for using tools, and when you can lean on an AST, you can “”reason””. But try to get a bot to even format a coherent question much less understand a positive or negative control. Nope.

I just had a lawn care stop by, thought hey nice they provided a detailed chemical sheet.

Just emailed them 3 corrections. Yeesh

“
Ty, i appreciate the handout.

Tenacity, entirely wrong:
 - listed as ethylene glycol
 - mesotrione is correct (your online sheet has this right)

Dylox:
 - listed as Triclofluron
 - correct is trichlorfon

Arkon vs Pyrimisulfan (trade and common flipped)

There’s a few other small typos but not that change the chemical identity.

Cheers,

Ben

I’m looking for a corner of the fedi that i could actually engage with on “ai” without dealing with all the haters. I get it i hear you and if you are in that camp, drop what you would want to see in a content warning.

Shit posts like:

- man opus 4.7 really loves the load-bearing comment. I’ll give you a load to bury robot

- it’s wild to watch internal reasoning remark on how odd it is that the user view design docs as if it were code. Having a tool that is entirely predicated on natural language bitching about the importance of natural language

And probably some more actual use case discussions too, lol

@TTG_42@framapiaf.org @AlSweigart@mastodon.social for example if you push a PR and they have copilot review enabled, sounds like your comments etc are “fair” game. if you submit an issue upstream and there is a discussion and someone asks to have copilot create a fix based on the issue, sounds like your content is on the table.
