Thanks jb. In local news: Spring cleaning resumes. I am finding many lost Legos and marbles. I introduced the boy to the card game "war" this morning. My mom and I played it a lot when I was young. I was having a blast with the boy thinking about my mom when my phone rang and it was my mom. That really made my day. There has been a lot of robberies in my area recently. I am not too concerned about my place, but I don't like the effect on the neighbors. I have three county dogs who hang around my place, they're good dogs and for some reason they've decided to hold it down on our corner. God bless 'em. I am considering a 3 day sardine fast, which means I probably should do it. I rescued Tim Pool from under the bookshelf. God Is With Us.

Thanks jb. In local news: We got a ton of stuff done around the property yesterday. When you've got a thousand projects going it's nice to get a few wrapped up. Today we're heading down to the local historical society. I am looking to find some good stories from the past, a better time when horse thieves were hanged. The pie plant continues to thrive. Yesterday I sowed some Marigolds around the base. While the world is waging war, cultivate peace in your mind. God Is With Us.

My mom sent me a bunch of "memories" things. This was among them. When I was in 5th grade I used to debate politics with my teacher, he supported Dukakis and I supported Bush (5th grade me had no way of knowing he killed JFK etc.). After Bush won my teacher wrote to him about me and got this in return. He presented me with a political awareness award and this. Mr. B was a great guy.

Thanks jb, exceptional reporting today. In local news: I have been rained out of my plans to reclaim the entryway/sunroon/catch-all/clutter-nightmare space and make room for the leg press machine. As an alternate plan I have been doing math with the boy. We were sorting and counting change when he says to me, "Hey papa, it's really cool how these dimes have roughish edges." The kids are alright. My wife is pissed about the data centers. She's fed poasting across the kitchen table at me about it just about every evening. I wonder how many other kitchen tables sound like mine? I am shopping around for a used 4wd to go up the mountain with. Dealing with people is frustrating. But once I find and secure the correct vehicle I will be able to go far away from said people. I am grateful to have access to the wilderness. I get overwhelmed thinking of how many people have zero. How miserable they must be. God Is With Us.

This morning I holler out of the bathroom, "Hey love, what time is it?" "It's not too late." "What time is it?" "We have plenty of time." "What is the hour? What are the minutes? The numbers." She tells me the time.

I concur. I have spent a lot of time on ten day silent meditation courses. These courses are non-sectarian, but there is a strong Theravada buddhism influence. I only say that to emphasize that my initial experience sitting in silence was in no way framed around Jesus. Jesus met me there in the silence, he showed me the moment I accepted Him when I was young, He showed me how I turned from him and chose sin, and He showed me that he was there watching and heartbroken at my ignorance and folly. I realized then how broken I was, what a fucking asshole I had been to the one who loves me the most. I began to understand repentance that day, I had been stumbling through the dark into the darkness while all I ever needed to do was turn around and walk toward the Light. Yeah, silence is powerful. It's worth spending time there.

The family is taking an overnight trip to civilization on Tuesday till Wednesday. It should be a good time, science museum, cool Airbnb, great downtown. I am hoping to find a good breakfast place. Marigolds are sprouting in mass around the pie plant. I got a bunch of poppy seeds which I need to put a bed together for. We moved the dog house (finally), so now I have zero excuses (time?) for not getting the composting infrastructure going. Complete one task and it leads to five more tasks. The boy is pestering me to play vidya wile I finish this off. I am going to do that for a bit. I am grateful. God Is With Us.
