@dalfen@mstdn.social Israel attacks Hezbollah (who do shoot back, incl. on civilian targets in Israel) not Lebanon. They would fight Hezbollah even if those would relocate to Galapagos. Hezbollah are practically Iran military. Most Lebanese would be happy to get rid of them.

@blamellors@mstdn.party This is a fascinating and difficult question. Who bears the responsibility for the victims of a war? Was Saddam "your" man or that of the USSR? Was Stalin "your" man just bc the US and UK aided him militarily? The Iranian regime didn't start, but it eagerly used the war to consolidate their recently gained power. They used it to persecute kurds, marxists (People's Mojahedin) and minorities.

@blamellors@mstdn.party These numbers are easy to find. Iran: war against Iraq: 600K (Wikipedia), including other (icl. proxy) wars probably 1M. Israel in Gaza according to Palestinian Health Minist. around 70K. Look, it's not a contest. My point was: no one even in the Muslim world (outside the Iran gov.) would support your idea of giving Iran the bomb.
