I’ve been a race fan my entire life. Pretty much everything; stock cars, Indy, F1, etc.

The stars never really aligned for me to pursue much other than amateur autocross events. But I’m OFFICIALLY throwing my hat in the ring to compete in the K1 Speed Adult Challenge GP, starting in January!

I am beyond excited to be jumping into this endeavour, which consists of 12 races, with qualifying heats and a main feature at each event night.

I already know how to drive. Now, I just have to figure out how to go FAST- because there’s nothing fun about riding around at the back of the pack.

So I bought an exercise bike so I can torture myself in the privacy of my own home, and last night, I did a 45-minute Apple Fitness workout that involved pedaling at a hard level for 24 minutes.

We humans do some pretty odd things to ourselves. And, crazy thing? We actually ENJOY it. 🙃

I’m super glad you feel safe in Florida to hold hands with your husband. I’m glad he didn’t kill himself bc of the ridicule and fear he faced from laws he now suffers under. I’m glad you haven’t had a gun pointed in your face bc you’re attending a drag show or hosting a drag queen story hour. I’m glad your trans children didn’t kill themselves bc of the protests, death threats, criminalization of their healthcare, white supremacists that threatened to kill your parents and call them child abusers, simply bc they love and support you. I’m glad you weren’t arrested for using the bathroom, protesting in the capitol, told to kill yourself bc you’re protesting against bans to gender affirming care. I’m glad you didn’t lose your teaching job bc you supported affirming your students or had every LGBTQ+ space you attend vandalized & threatened.

@vertana@infosec.exchange well, I fled the state, picked up my entire life and relocated to a sanctuary state, so I mean…..yeah, I kinda ‘fear even going for a work meeting’. So you ARE aware of things in that list, yet you still ask people who fled the state why they’re so scared? Nope- totally not gaslighting people. There’s also a reason why I’m not explaining or giving specific instances to a total stranger, as if I’m under some obligation to. I am in therapy recovering from over two straight years of nonstop trauma experienced in Florida.
