  Watching white people discuss the civility of mastodon and then exchange congratulations on the congeniality of the place. This conversation has been going on as long as I have been here. I fell into it myself the first few times. And then I heard some people talking about their very different experiences.   Just because you don't see anyone resisting doesn't mean no one is resisting. Mainstream outlets aren't reporting resistance with the kind of zeal they reserve for (you fill in the blank, I'm tired this morning.) Just know that the number of conscientious objectors is way up.   I'm worried that we all don't understand that we're going to have to fight for all the rights we're losing. For all the rights that marginalized groups have fought so hard to gain. It isn't going to magically unravel if dems get voted in.
