Great keynote conversation today at the Open Source Summit NA with Dirk Hohndel and Linus Torvalds My main takeaway: if you don&#39;t credit your interpreter / compiler for the resulting artifact, no reason to credit LLMs for the same work Oh, and we don&#39;t need to worry about our jobs, we are programmers #ossummit

It&#39;s sad to see another good tool bite the dust (it isn&#39;t dead, just added to my list of tools to be replaced as soon as a good enough replacement is found) https://github.com/raspberrypi/rpi-imager/issues/1368 I get the appeal of AppImage to maintainers, but if we had 300 problems with OS packages, now we have 300,000,000 problems with AppImages I am actively looking for better ways to generate my rpi images now #raspi #raspberrypi

Hmmm... https://status.canonical.com/ says ppa.launchpad.net is operational, but I can&#39;t get it to respond on any machine, local or remote, w/ and w/o VPNs, DNS refresh, reboots When connected to Canada I at least get some of the Release and InRelease updates, after some waiting They might be overloaded due to the incident, they might be throttling, in any case, Operational is not the correct label #Ubuntu #canonical @ubuntu
