My first reaction to this is: those legislators need to refresher course in how technology works My second reaction is: those legislators don't have a degree in biochemistry and they still handle our water, food and waste, so knowledge and orientation is not the issue here https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2026/04/utahs-new-law-regulating-vpns-goes-effect-next-week

    I think the issue starts with the advocates, the people pushing for this to pass Next are the bystanders, the companies that will be impacted, and the organizations that are entrusted with our infrastructure but don't do enough for various reasons, some I can relate, some not, but I still think they should do something regardless I can't exaggerate by claiming that laws like this are the corrosion of our technological advancements, and the problem is, the US is not alone in this
