I think the issue starts with the advocates, the people pushing for this to pass Next are the bystanders, the companies that will be impacted, and the organizations that are entrusted with our infrastructure but don't do enough for various reasons, some I can relate, some not, but I still think they should do something regardless I can't exaggerate by claiming that laws like this are the corrosion of our technological advancements, and the problem is, the US is not alone in this

    If there is a historical case we should learn from, it might be the teaching of evolution and scientific critical thinking in the US The religious wars against teaching evolution, sterilized the scientific teachings across the US, teachers were afraid to teach anything close to something that might seem as criticizing a subset of christian sects' teachings, leading to a decay in critical thinking by children
