  When I think of musical geniuses (I don't really accept that there are geniuses but not to digress) who were also pop stars, I think of XTC, Steely Dan, Brian Wilson, Jimmy Hendrix... When I think of such geniuses who never quite threaded that needle, I think of Frank Zappa and... uh Frank Zappa. Some help, please? I'm not making any content about this. Just pup talk.

  No surprise that many "self-driving" cars are operated by human drivers. Safety, efficiency, even convenience were never the point. It's just for investors. If they wanted all of these, they would have promoted the infrastructure, networking, and handover techniques that were worked out mostly between 1935 and 1995 but would have benefited immensely from networking of the 1990s to the present. Instead they used the objectives of the DARPA derby - which was not only late to the game...

  I'm glad the allies and others have refused to get in on the Hormuz party but what they should be doing, obviously, is getting their butts to DC and convincing him to TACO. On the one hand the TACO defense is frightening to many because it's the end of a long period in which (the believed) Big Hero was a somewhat reliable partner. But that has ended either way. One more confirmation is a small price to pay for preventing collapse and descent into world war.

  I'm so tired of the racism spoof joke. Unbelievably lazy and wasn't ever funny either. It usually involves "calling someone out" for racism by way of misunderstanding or over-sensitivity. "Because I'm black??" or "Racist!" is the typical punchline. There are a few others but none that are original after 40+ years of the same stupid joke.   If automated driving were intended to make driving safer or more efficient, current solutions are wrong. In fact, good solutions to these have existed for a long time. Unfortunately for investors (read opportunists), these weren't profitable: vehicle networking, infrastructure, and automated handovers... (tech that worked pretty well by the mid-1990's). Instead, they realized they could more easily market and profit from the DARPA-style autonomous model, meant to work without any coope...

  I know this is not on the top of the priority list but I think US people constantly calling Trump a "felon" is not being kind to other people who have committed crimes but who have taken responsibility, have faced their penalties, and are ready to be good. Is there a better word not related to having a prior conviction? How about just "criminal"?
