  So, as an effort to unlearn shame, I'm working on being more jokey/flirty with select friends. But when I do, I go into an anxiety spiral and I realised last night what the reason for this is. It's internalised transphobia all the way down. The anti-trans conception of trans women, especially trans women who are attracted to women, is as some kind of predator - the myth of "men" trying to get into women's bathrooms etc. So, even light joke-flirting triggers my fear of bein...

  Going to give Ellipsus a try as a way of organising my writing notes - other writery people have recommended. And they're LGBT-run and anti-AI so that's a win. I started writing little stories as a small River (a rivulet, or stream perhaps) but then got all clogged up with life detritus and stopped. A few years ago, I met @tiefling@bardicperspiration.club who started sharing her (amazing) writing with me, which encouraged me to write more again too, some attempts at poems and short stories for my Baldur's Gate character, Tempest.   #WritersCoffeeClub Apr 3: Have you studied writing? Did it prepare you, or did you learn more by doing? I've done a lot of writing in non-fiction areas, like for uni work and professional work. I have a chapter or two published somewhere under a previous name. But I've never studied creative writing in any formal way. Mostly I just read a lot, and learn what I like and what works from there, and try to improve my own writing each time I do a poem or short story.
