  My friend got me completely hooked on this Renaissance Faire thing and now I've gone down a rabbit hole of cooking up costume ideas every time I'm at the thrift store!. We're going back to the Virginia one in two weeks, and this time I'm going as Frodo from Lord of the Rings! 😄

  I love how international my feed is here in the #Fediverse. It's nice to get perspectives from other places and learn about things beyond my own borders, that you would never encounter on centralized social media.

  Update: karaoke night was mostly fun, enjoyed catching up with old friends (and meeting some new) but alas the place we went to turned out to be a MAGA toxic male hangout spot. Eww. Lots of big burly guys making creepy passes at any woman who walked in there. So…back to the gay bar next time!

  I've had the good fortune this far in my life to not personally witness violence but that ended this afternoon coming home from the Maymont Herbs Galore event here in Richmond.   My aunt in coastal Georgia just texted me a video clip of a painted bunting at her bird feeder and I could not be more jealous! I saw an indigo bunting once, a few summers ago at my nursery's production farm. It really is an amazing world we live in. We should take better care of it. #Birds #Wildlife

  Had an absolute blast today at the #Virginia Renaissance Faire in Spotsylvania County, my first time at such an event! I can see why people get really into it! So much creativity and talent between the costumes and the wares people were selling. Definitely going to be an annual event for me.
