I've had the good fortune this far in my life to not personally witness violence but that ended this afternoon coming home from the Maymont Herbs Galore event here in Richmond. I’m stopped at an intersection near Chesterfield Town Center, about to turn left onto Midlothian Turnpike. I suddenly hear screaming coming from the parking lot next to the road I’m on, and I look over and a dude is screaming at his wife or girlfriend, trying to pull her out of his car by her hair and hitting her. Unfortunately (or fortunately for him) I had nowhere to pull over, else I was going to be on him in seconds and throwing hands. So I make the turn, then do a U-turn over the median so I can at least get the license plate and call the cops, which I did as I followed this guy for 20 minutes to where I presume he lived. The dispatcher told me units would be on the way; I hope they found the guy and put him away. People who treat their partners like that usually have a long history of it.
